What is Gestalt Psychotherapy?
Gestalt psychotherapy takes a holistic and relational approach emphasising the present moment. Guiding clients toward self-awareness, the therapist explores thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations; working in the ‘here and now’, whilst also paying attention to a client’s historical relationships and experiences.
The word Gestalt means 'an organised whole, that is perceived as greater than the sum of its parts'. It reflects on how we make meaning from what we sense in the world. Have a look at the following images and notice what you can see and if it changes;

You may see shapes made up from incomplete lines, or two images depending on what you perceive.
I'm interested in how you make meaning, not to tell you how you 'should' experience life. Working this way, I can support you to experiment with new choices and possibilities, and come to live a fuller, richer life.
